this app is awesome, not only can u record handy voice notes and such, u can also hav some fun changing the speed of ur voice :P

Ive tried this new app in my classroom to record the teacher speaking, however when we play back, the sound is very limited and I have difficulties hearing back what I have recorded. I think it might be good when the person is standing next to the computer otherwise not very handy.

There is no online help, the website only tells you what the company and product is, the preference frame has no OK APPLY CANCEL buttons, and the Autopause has a cryptic setting dealing with a floating point threshold, which is some sort of undefined ratio or one familiar only to sound engineers. Do not waste your money on this product. It is only potentially useful for lectures, but to record voice memos or board meetings with long stretches of silence, seek elsewhere or hire a sound engineer to figure out how to set up the Autopause.

CAF files arent supported by many other pieces of software...There is a complicated mechanism to try to save into other formats, but it doesnt work!

No support in Smart Recorder support, misleading. *** Major problem: when listening to playback, sound cuts out EVERY 5 seconds and sometimes more, causing you to miss information (it cuts out parts of whats being recorded)*** Not worth $4.99, wish I could get a refund it was a waste of time and money :(

Lost a recording today when the program crashed. No support available to determine if it is recoverable.

The idea of this app is really great, but I have been using this app for almost a year now and it has a lot of bugs that can’t be tolerated.

Exactly what I was just hoping to find! Great for meetings where a lot of ground gets covered and any note that gets missed could be lost forever. Great product! need syncing between mac version and iPhone Version either via bluetooth, wifi, Cellular, USB or both / all. Bring Sync with iOS version(s) to Mac version! Thanks for a great product!

Clear sound, recordings do not take a lot of hard disk space, various playback speeds. Grab it while its free, if you want to use your macbook to record audio lectures. Extremely handy for students and business people. I will try it on iPhone and iPad as well.

I can not get the text to appear in the box on the right, can some one help?

I like the concept and the functional implementation, but boy is this app ugly or what?! Im tempted to remove it because I really dont like the Window-like UI. Improve graphics and Ill love it :)

@Ronnie.coleman3 You have to press the tag button before you can start typing. Hope that helps.

Just add a tag and you can take notes. The design could be more intuitive.

I think its a great app, but Im having an issue with sound quality. When I record and immediately play back, the quality is excellent. But, when I save and re-open, the quality is horrible. Any ideas why—or how to maintain the higher sound quality?

I really like the idea of this app, and can see how this will be helpful during school lectures. I think that the developer should improve the graphics of the interface becuase it currently looks pixelated. Also, it would be nice if you could click in the text box, type your notes, and then hit command-enter. After you hit command-enter, the app should automatically add a time stamp to your note so that you can take notes more efficiently.
